Handmade Rocking Chair

Brent Thompson is a long-time contributor to Boysville, and is again contributing to the children by donating another heirloom quality, handmade rocking chair in a classic Texas design. Brent spent more than 200 hours crafting the chair made with a unique blend of oak and Texas mesquite, some of which was harvested on his family ranch in Frio County. All the components of this chair are handmade, one at a time, and the individual pieces joined by hand. This fine furniture piece is finished in a clear coat fashion, showing and protecting the true colors, exquisite graining and unique patterns of the hand picked wood. Brent is a true wood working craftsman by avocation. He has supported Boysville through different ways over the years, and has contributed handmade rockers for our auction for the past four years. |
